Before Leeds Cocktail Week even starts, there’s a party for that

Leeds Cocktail Week is marking the start of its second year with an exclusive launch party, bringing together bartenders, hospitality professionals, media and influencers for a first look at the city’s biggest cocktail celebration before the 10-day event itself begins.

The launch party takes place at CrowdedHouse from 7pm on 31 July, on a first come, first served basis. VIP guests will be welcomed with complimentary cocktails made using premium spirits from event drinks sponsors el Jimador Tequila and Cointreau orange liqueur, alongside views from the venue’s rooftop bar and a set from its vinyl DJ.

It’s a double celebration: the evening marks CrowdedHouse’s first birthday as well as the launch of the new Cointreau Spicy, with guests among the first to try it. The VIP cocktail menu includes an Original Margarita made with Cointreau Unique and El Jimador, and a Spicy Margarita built around the new Cointreau Spicy.

CrowdedHouse’s own signature drink for the full 10-day event is The Summerhouse, blending Dutch Barn vanilla vodka, melon liqueur, orgeat syrup and lemon juice, alongside its mocktail alternative, Orchard Stroll — both priced at £5.

Leeds Cocktail Week itself brings together 54 of the city’s bars, restaurants and hospitality venues for the 10-day celebration of cocktails, food and nightlife, with participating venues including The Alchemist, Banyan, Jake’s Bar & Still Room, Chaophraya, Manahatta, Electric Shuffle, Power Corruption & Lies, Blackhouse and Flight Club.

The event is brought to the city by M.ad Agency, which organises Cocktail Week events across the UK. Director Alice Christison said: “I’m over the moon to bring our iconic launch party to CrowdedHouse. Guests can expect a top-class evening with premium drinks, great atmosphere and celebrations galore. I would encourage everyone to grab some tickets for the best summer event in the city.”

Wristbands grant access to all £5–£7 cocktails during the event, along with additional offers, including other cocktails and food, at selected venues. More information and tickets are available at leedscocktailweek.co.uk.
