Armed forces veterans and services personnel in Middlesbrough are invited to the latest breakfast get-together of the Veterans & Armed Forces Community Club this Friday, 7 August.
The club launched in October and has seen attendance grow rapidly since. The relaxed gatherings are currently held at Station Suites on Linthorpe Road, with support from The Royal British Legion, Help for Heroes and Middlesbrough Council’s Staying Included Service.
Linda Ford, Staying Included officer, said: “The Community Club has proved so popular we’re having to move to bigger premises.”
She added: “We’re incredibly grateful to Station Suites for ensuring the get-togethers have been such a success, and we look forward to continuing at the Holiday Inn Express later in the year.”
The next meeting takes place this Friday, 7 August, with the following month’s meeting due on Friday, 4 September. From October, the Community Club will move to the Holiday Inn Express on Centre Square.
The club meets for bacon butties, tea and coffee from 10am to noon at Station Suites, 5 Linthorpe Road, TS1 1RE, opposite the train station.
