West Leeds Activity Centre offers new outdoor learning options this autumn

West Leeds Activity Centre is offering schools and youth groups a range of outdoor learning activities this autumn, from climbing and archery to bushcraft and rafted canoeing.

The centre says outdoor sessions help children and young people build confidence, resilience and positive mental health, with research linking time outdoors to improved wellbeing, concentration, social skills and engagement in learning.

Activities on offer include climbing, assault course challenges, a slip ‘n’ slide waterslide, inflatable activities, bushcraft and survival skills, archery, go-karting, combat archery, and rafted canoeing and paddleboarding, available as half-day or full-day sessions.

All activities are fully risk-assessed and available through EVOLVE, and tailored packages are available for curriculum-linked learning, team-building, enrichment or pupil wellbeing.

Schools and groups now need to book activities through the Store on Leeds For Learning. More information is available by calling 0113 336 7414 or emailing westleedsactvitycentre@leeds.gov.uk.
