Music fans have just a few days left to secure tickets for Live at the Courtyard, Darley Street Market’s first outdoor music festival, running from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 August in Bradford city centre.
The three-day event brings three headline acts and three support acts to the Courtyard, with an outdoor bar and pre-show food from Darley Street Market traders at the Street Kitchen.
Friday opens with local Bradford-Leeds rock band Pulled Apart By Horses, known for their high-energy live shows and passionate fan base, supported by Irish post-punk artist Meryl Streek, known for a powerful spoken-word style and socially charged lyrics.
Lucy Spraggan’s fan favourites
Saturday brings singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan, drawing on a catalogue of chart success and fan favourites, supported by Leeds-based Northern Irish artist Lucy Robinson, known for heartfelt alt-acoustic-pop and indie-folk songwriting.
The weekend closes on Sunday afternoon with indie-pop favourites The Hoosiers, supported by Marie Franc, a five-piece dark-pop and indie band from Manchester blending folk, jazz and ’90s shoegaze influences.
Doors open at 7pm on Friday and Saturday, and 1:30pm on Sunday, with music starting around 45 minutes later.
Councillor Ian Walker, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Neighbourhoods and Communities, said: “The event will be a great opportunity for people to enjoy live music in the city centre.” He encouraged anyone planning to attend to book their tickets in advance.
